What it does
A Bitfocus Companion connection module for BlackMatrix — route a fleet of Blackmagic ATEM switchers from a Stream Deck: any source to any aux, ME bus, keyer input, SuperSource box or multiview window, plus fleet-wide salvos and destination locks.
The generated presets are an X-Y router panel rather than one button per crosspoint: press a destination, then press a source. A couple of hundred buttons cover a fleet that would otherwise need tens of thousands, and the selection lives in this Companion, so two of them never fight over a pending destination.
- X-Y panel presets, with the armed destination and its current source shown before you take
- Direct one-button crosspoints where a button should mean one thing
- Fleet-wide salvos, with per-crosspoint refusals reported by name
- Destination locks held per IP address, shared with BlackMatrix's own browser UI
- A live source label per destination, so a page reads as a monitor wall
- Feedback for a hardware Videohub panel attached to the same switcher
Where it stands
Verified by a test harness driving its real source against a fake crosspoint server. It has never been loaded into Companion, and never run against a live ATEM fleet.
