Presentation Commander — Server

NDI matrix for live events

In developmentv1.0.1ApplicationTypeScript
Presentation Commander — Server — NDI matrix for live events
The main window: scene compositor, source pool, matrix inspector, control deck and control surface.

What it does

The master control application for a presentation room: a real-time NDI video matrix router, a layered scene compositor and a presenter-notes hub, as an Electron desktop app. It pairs with the client that runs on each presentation laptop.

Sources come from live mDNS NDI discovery rather than a typed-in list, and a layer backed by a real network source shows a live video preview rendered from actual received frames, not a placeholder box.

  • Source pool from live _ndi._tcp.local discovery, plus web sources
  • Layered scene compositor — drag to reposition, drag a corner to resize, toggle visibility
  • Matrix inspector: route any output to any source or to a full composited scene
  • Control Deck showing presenter notes and slide position from every connected client
  • A button-grid control surface for scene recall, blackout, next and previous, and notes to stage
  • A JSON-RPC automation API on port 9700 — the same command path the buttons themselves use

Where it stands

In development, tagged at v1.0.1. Verified against the shipped demo data and driven over its own automation API — the video tour is the real application, not a mockup — but running without a presentation laptop paired to it, and never on a live show.
